![]() Truck is currently in the shop having the recall done. I did not have any phaser noise at idle like most with the problem are experiencing, but after discussing with the local Ford tech who's done a number of them, I figured it couldn't hurt to have the updated part put in. I've now decided to have the cam phaser recall done in hopes it solves the problem. Flash forward a week or so and the internal component misalignment code is back, but just check engine light and truck isn't cutting boost out. Verified with the tech that the boost gauge is a direct reflection of the boost sensor I could confirm that there was never an underboost condition. After discussing the issue with my local ford tech drawing off of their expertise and my mechanical background, neither one of us could come up with why both of those codes came in at once other than a fluke. Since I had my family with me and we were stuck at the dealership with the kids looking forward to Six Flags, I had them clear to codes and off we went. ![]() Codes came up for internal component misalignment and underboost, but dealer could not find any mechanical faults. Truck cut boost and I found the nearest dealership. I recently took the family on a road trip and while climbing a hill on the highway, got a simultaneous check engine and drivetrain fault code. I want so badly to love the new truck, but after 2 months of ownership there are a few things preventing that. Previously owned an '04 5.4 (Loved it), a '15 2.7 (Loved it) followed by an '18 silverado (Hated it, went back to Ford). Recently purchased a '19 F150 with the 2nd gen 3.5.
